Global Dominion, Zelestra, EnBW Expand Solar Projects in Europe

Global Dominion Access has divested a 79 MW solar photovoltaic portfolio across Spain, Portugal, and Italy to China Three Gorges Europe (CTGE) for €92 million. This sale includes both operational and development-stage assets, allowing Global Dominion to concentrate on its core services in technology and energy efficiency while reducing debt. The transaction enhances CTGE’s renewable energy presence in Southern Europe, aligning with its strategy to broaden geographic reach and operational capacity in the clean energy sector.

Meanwhile, Zelestra has inaugurated a 435 MW solar plant in Spain, one of the largest solar projects in the country. This facility will generate enough clean energy to supply over 200,000 homes annually, significantly contributing to Spain’s renewable energy goals. The plant incorporates advanced photovoltaic technology to maximize energy output and reliability, bolstering Zelestra’s commitment to large-scale solar developments in Europe. The project is projected to deliver carbon emissions reductions and stimulate local job creation during both construction and ongoing operations.

In Germany, EnBW has launched an 80 MW solar farm in Brandenburg, expected to produce approximately 88 GWh of clean electricity each year, serving around 26,000 households. This project is part of EnBW’s strategy to accelerate the energy transition by increasing investments in solar and wind energy. The farm employs modern photovoltaic technology to optimize energy production, while also aiming to enhance regional energy security and contribute to local economic growth through job opportunities and infrastructure improvements.

Together, these developments illustrate the ongoing momentum in the renewable energy sector across Europe, as companies invest in large-scale solar projects to meet growing energy demands and support sustainability objectives.
